What to Know Before You Join Our Haunted Tours

PUBLIC TOURS

How long is your tour?

Our tours typically last about an hour.  Our tour does not start and end in the same location, so please make sure you allow yourself 15 minutes to get back to your vehicle a well.

How much will I be walking?

Our tours cover about six walking blocks.  If you need accommodations to attend our tour, please feel free to reach out to us.

How scary is your tour? Will anyone be jumping out at me?

We do not have jump scares on our tour, but we do pride ourselves on providing our customers with a spooky experience! 

Will I see a ghost?

While we do have many guests who see orbs, shadows, and specters - we cannot guarantee such an experience.

Can I take pictures?

What is the difference between the North Route and the South Route tours?

Each tour, starting at the Ramsey Visitor Center, will go the direction the name indicates.  Being two different routes, they each of different stops and stories.  If you have taken one of the routes, make sure you come back and try the other!

Is there a bathroom I can use on the tour?

Unfortunately, we do not own any of the buildings that we will be passing or stopping at so we cannot give permission to use their facilities.  We highly suggest using the restroom before the tours start.

What happens if it rains?

Our tours will operate rain or shine.  However, if you are uncomfortable with the weather, please feel free to contact us and we will happily reschedule your tour.

Can I tip my tour guide?

Absolutely. 

PRIVATE TOUR GROUPS

How long is your tour?

Our tours typically last about an hour, however please allow an extra 15 minutes for your tour guide to walk you back to your bus pick up location. 

How much will I be walking?

Our tours cover about six walking blocks.

Where can motorcoaches park?

Busses should drop groups off at the Market Square in Old Town Alexandria and the proceed to park at the Masonic Temple.  Bus drivers will be given instructions at drop off.

Why do groups need to sign a code of conduct?

Groups must sign a code of conduct for a ghost tour experience to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all participants. This code of conduct helps maintain appropriate behavior, prevents disruptions, and shows consideration for the historical and cultural significance of the tour location, as well as the comfort and enjoyment of fellow tour-goers and residents of Alexandria.

What will happen if my group is late to the tour?

Living and working in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, we totally understand that there are oftentimes factors outside of our control and we simply cannot get to where we need to be.  If this is the case for your group, your tour guide will wait for you until you arrive, and give you as much of the tour as the original time slot allows for.  We do ask that you contact us as soon as you know you're running late as sometimes adjustments can be made.

Can we do a bus tour if it rains?

We are happy to provide a bus tour.  Please note that bus tours tend to be much faster than walking tours and may not fill an entire hour.

Can I request a specific guide we have used in the past?

Please request a guide if you had somebody in the past that you loved!  We will do everything we can do to accommodate your request, but it will be based upon that guides availability.  

Can I tip my tour guide?

Absolutely.
